Magnitude 4 quake jolts Bohol
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Sunday morning recorded a magnitude 4 earthquake which shook some parts of Bohol.
The magnitude 4 quake occurred at 11:40 a.m. Its center was traced six kilometers north-east of Antequera, Bohol with a depth of focus of 2 km.
Phivolcs said the tremor was felt at Intensity IV in Tagbilaran City, Antequera, Bohol while Loboc, Bohol felt it at Intensity III. Dauis and Loay, Bohol, experienced the quake at Intensity II.
Despite its intensity, Phivolcs said there are no expected damage nor aftershocks after the earthquake.
Aside from the magnitude 4 earthquake, six other tremors were recorded on Sunday. Three of which occurred in Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental while the three others were in Kalingalan Caluang, Sulu; Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur; and Sarangani, Davao Occidental.
Phivolcs said all quakes recorded were tectonic in origin.
