Airport police clears NAIA, PAL plane from bomb threat

The bomb scare sparked after a cabin crew found a styrofoam cup with written threat that a bomb was placed inside the plane.

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National Police aviation security group (AVSEC) and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) police have cleared the airport and the Philippine Airline aircraft after a bomb threat on Thursday morning.

The bomb squad composed of PNP AVSec group and NAIA K9 said there was no bomb in the PAL Boeing 777 plane with registry RPC 7772. The plane reportedly came from Los Angeles, California with flight PR 103.

According to a televised report, the bomb scare sparked after a cabin crew found a styrofoam cup with written threat that a bomb was placed inside the plane. The stewardess then reported it to the pilot.

The plane was cleared from any bombs at 7:09 a.m. after authorities checked the aircraft and all the luggage on the carrier.
