Farmer hurt in grenade blast

MANILA, Philippines – A farmer was wounded when a grenade exploded in Aleosan, North Cotabato on Friday night.

Dante Atuluganan was rushed to a hospital by responding police officers and barangay leaders.

Atuluganan was on his way home on a motorcycle when the grenade, believed planted as a booby trap, exploded on the highway in Barangay Pagangan.

Relatives said Atuluganan has no known enemies and is on friendly terms with Christian and Muslim communities in Aleosan and nearby towns.
