Korean national found dead in NAIA restroom

A Korean national was found dead on Thursday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

MANILA, Philippines (Philippines News Agency) — A Korean man was found dead inside a restroom at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Thursday night, airport authorities said.

Initial reports from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said that a janitor found a dead body seated on the floor and immediately reported it to the operations assistant on duty at around 7:28 p.m. on Thursday.

The victim was identified as An San Kwan, 50, and found with a brown bag strap tied to the door hook of one of the cubicles. He was said to be unresponsive and was seated on the floor.

MIAA general manager Ed Monreal and Terminal 3 manager Ric Medalla went on site to oversee the investigation of incident.
