School principal shot dead by husband

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines – A retired firefighter was arrested on Tuesday for the fatal shooting of his wife in a school in Malaybalay, Bukidnon.

Superintendent Henry Dampal, Malaybalay police chief, identified the victim as Florina Tenorio, 47, principal of Casisang National High School. She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Bukidnon Provincial Hospital.

Three bullets shells for a .45-caliber pistol were recovered at the scene.

Responding policemen arrested Arnold Tenorio at his residence at Azura Subdivision.

Initial investigation showed that the couple had frequently argued about the suspect’s drug problem.
