Missing council bet surfaces

PALO, Leyte, Philippines – A candidate for councilor in Alang-Alang, Leyte, who was reported missing on Sunday, surfaced yesterday.

Ramon Bulante, 58, told police his captors released him in Barangay San Javier in Jaro town after taking his money amounting to P8,000 and his motorcycle.

Bulante’s son Edison reported to the Alang-Alang police that his father had not returned to their home after going out around 4 a.m.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
