Ex-village exec gunned down

URBIZTONDO, Pangasinan, Philippines – A former village official died while his wife was wounded when unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen fired at them along Barangay Bayaoas Road here on Thursday. 

Violeto Quitaleg, 44, a resident of Barangay Gueteb, died at the scene.  His wife, Lorna, 50, a barangay councilwoman, was brought to the Virgen Milagrosa University Hospital for treatment.

The couple and four other persons were in a tricycle driven by Violeto when the attack occurred.
