2 dead in motorbike mishap

CABANATUAN CITY, Philippines – Two persons died when their motorcycle figured in an accident in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija on Tuesday night.

Mark Lester Antonio, 23, and Emily Carig, 52, were declared dead on arrival at the Carranglan Medicare Community Hospital due to head injuries, according to provincial police director Senior Superintendent Manuel Cornel.

Witnesses said the motorcycle, driven by Antonio, was traveling at top speed as it was about to pass through a curve in Barangay Bantug.

The victims were thrown out of the motorcycle, which was found to be unregistered.
