2 traders found dead in motorboat

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines  – Two businessmen were found dead in a motorboat drifting near an island village in Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay on Saturday. 

The bodies of Ramil dela Cruz and Reneboy Duran, both of Vincenzo Sagon in Zamboanga del Sur, were found at around 3 p.m. by fishermen off Isla Bato.

They suffered several gunshot wounds.

Case investigator Police Officer 2 Edmon Jumalon said the victims were engaged in the shellfish trade.

Investigation showed Duran and Dela Cruz arrived in Malangas on board their boat on Saturday morning to deliver their catch.

They were last seen leaving the town at around 10 a.m.
