TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – An aide of a municipal mayor was arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot bystanders in Cauayan City, Isabela on Saturday night.
Ricky Hildago, 44, livestock inspector of San Agustin town Mayor Virgilio Padilla, reportedly poked a 9mm pistol at a group of men who helped him remove his car from a canal in Barangay Silawit at around 7:30 p.m.
Police said Hidalgo, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, was arrested by village officials.
