MANILA, Philippines - Two persons were killed while 14 others were injured on Wednesday after a wayward delivery truck plowed through traffic in Marikina City.
Initial police report showed that a 10-wheeler delivery truck lost its brakes while speeding along a flyover toward Bonifacio Avenue, Barangay Barangka, Marikina around 11:30 a.m.
The truck rammed four other vehicles, including two L-300 vans, a motorcycle and a passenger jeepney, the report said.
Two of the victims immediately died due to severe injuries.
The other victims were rushed to the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center for treatment.
