LIST: Closed roads, alternate routes for INC protest

MANILA, Philippines – Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Saturday listed alternate routes for the motorists to avoid heavy traffic due to the ongoing Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) protests along Shaw Boulevard service roads.

In its advisory, MMDA recommended the public to avoid EDSA Shaw and EDSA Shrine due to the current closure of  northbound and southbound lanes of the Shaw Boulevard service roads.

Alternate Route – From EDSA Northbound Lane

  • Right to McKinley Road to C-5 to destination
  • Right at Kalayaan Avenue to C-5 destination
  • Take Rockwell flyover, left turn to Estrella and utilize Estrella/Pantaleon Bridge which is now open to traffic
  • Right at JP Rizal to C-5 to destination
  • Right at Shaw Boulevard to C-5 to destination
  • Right at J. Vargas Avenue to C-5 to destination

Along Ortigas Avenue

  • Left turning traffic from Greenhills to EDSA must go straight along Ortigas Avenue to destination
  • Right turning traffic from Meralco Avenue must go straight to Greenhills to destination

Alternate Route – From EDSA Southbound Lane

  •  Right to West Avenue and take Mabuhay to destination
  • Right to Timog Avenue and take Mabuhay to destination
  • Right to Kamuning and take Mabuhay to destination
  • Right to Aurora Boulevard and take Mabuhay to destination
  • Right to P. Tuazon and take Mabuhay to destination
  • Right to Santolan and take Mabuhay to destination
  • Right to Annapolis and take Mabuhay to destination
  • Right to Connecticut and take Mabuhay to destination.
