Bus rams jeep; 2 dead

AGOO, La Union, Philippines  – Two persons died while 10 others were injured when a passenger jeepney was hit by a bus in Barangay Nazareno here yesterday afternoon.

Virginia Garcia, 55, and Norayda Dulay, both of Barangay San Benito, Aringay town, were declared dead on arrival at the La Union Medical Center. The injured victims, including an eight-month-old baby, were brought to different hospitals for treatment.

The victims were in a jeepney driven by Benigno Dulay when a Sta. Lucia bus driven by Ferdinand Habon hit them.

Habon was detained at the Agoo municipal jail as charges of homicide, serious physical injuries and damage to property were readied against him.
