New Marinduque bishop installed

BOAC, Marinduque, Philippines – Monsignor Marcelino Antonio Maralit was installed as the new bishop of the diocese of Boac in Marinduque on Tuesday. 

Pope Francis appointed Maralit on Dec. 31, 2014.

God is good all the time, Maralit said. 

Prior to his appointment, Maralit served as vicar in several parishes in Batangas.  He was a professor at the St. Francis de Sales Major Seminary in Lipa City in 1996 and was director of the diocese’s commission for vocations.

He was parish priest in Alitagtag, Batangas.
