MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III has approved the promotion of seven more police generals assigned to key positions in the Philippine National Police (PNP).
PNP Officer-in-Charge Deputy Director General Leonardo Espina formalized the promotion of five star-rank police officials during simple rites at the PNP National Headquarters in Camp Crame.
The promotions were approved upon the recommendation of Espina and Interior and Local Government Secretary and National Police Commission chairman Mar Roxas.
Promoted to the rank of Police Chief Superintendent were:
- Chief Superintendent Pablo Francisco Balagtas - Acting Director of Aviation Security Group;
- Chief Superintendent Rolando Nana - Acting Director of Manila Police District;
- Chief Superintendent Ricardo Zapata Jr. - Ex-O of the Directorate for Logistics;
- Chief Superintendent Edgardo Tinio - Ex-O of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations – South Luzon; and
- Chief Superintendent Pierre Bucsit - Ex-O of Directorate for Integrated Police Operations – West Mindanao
