MANILA, Philippines - Five suspected New People’s Army (NPA) rebels were killed in an encounter with government troops in Sarangani province on Tuesday.
Maj. Gen. Eduardo Año, 10th Infantry Division commander, said the clash occurred in Barangay Nomol in Maasim town at around 2 p.m.
