MANILA, Philippines — Two suspected thieves also wanted for murder surrendered to champion boxer and Sarangani Rep. Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao on Thursday.

A Bombo Radyo report said Pacquiao sent his chopper to Barangay Datalbukay in Glan, Sarangani Province to fetch Roland Maguan and Jiboy Maguan, members of the Valdez-Maguan Cattle Rustling Group.

The two alleged cattle thieves first approached a local school teacher in the village, asking help for their plan to yield to the authorities. The report said the suspects feared to approach the police.

The teacher then tried to reach Pacquiao, who immediately sent his personal helicopter to Datalbukay.

The two Maguans, who also brought a homemade shotgun, were brought to the capitol in handcuffs.

Pacquiao recently filed a proposed legislation seeking to establish a community fitness center in every Philippine barangay and a bill to create a Philippine boxing commission. - Camille Diola
