Elderly couple slain in Laguna

CAMPVICENTE LIM, Laguna , Philippines   â€“ An elderly couple was found dead with stab wounds in their house in Cabuyao City early yesterday morning, police said.

Chief Superintendent Jesus Gatchalian, Region 4 police director, said the victims, Cristeto Sotoya, 81, and his wife, Leticia, 78, were found dead in the comfort room at around 2:30 a.m. by their granddaughter who was awakened by a dripping faucet at the ground floor where her grandparents were sleeping.

Police recovered a knife, fork and pieces of wood believed used in the killing.
