Quake jolts parts of Leyte

MANILA, Philippines - A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 jolted parts of Leyte yesterday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

The tremor occurred at 10:41 a.m. with its epicenter located at eight kilometers southwest of Capoocan, Leyte and was felt at Intensity 3 in Carigara, Pastrana and Isabel towns and Intensity 2 in Barugo, Phivolcs said. 

The agency also recorded minor tremors in Ilocos Norte and Davao Oriental yesterday but these were “unfelt.”
