2 dead, 2 hurt in Alaminos ambush

Reports said that Sony Briz, driver of Alaminos municipal councilor Lino Zuniga; and James Briz died during the ambush.

 

Meanwhile, Zuniga and another companion, Nelson Briz, were wounded in the incident. The councilor sustained gunshot wounds on leg and arm, reports said. 

 

Initial police investigation showed that the victims were on board a blue Mitsubishi car (UKG-333), travelling along Del Pilar St., Brgy. Poblacion, Alaminos around 10:45 p.m. when a motorcycle and another car drove beside the vehicle.

 

The suspects opened fire at both sides of the victims' vehicle, which hit the concrete railings in the area.

 

Reports said that after shooting the victims' car, the suspects fled the scene.

 

Police recovered around 32 empty shells at the area.
