3 killed in gun attack

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – Gunmen ambushed and killed three members of a family in Ampatuan town, Maguindanao Monday.

Senior Inspector Ronald del Leon, chief of the Ampatuan municipal police, said the victims identified as Jessie, Rosemarie, and Joshua, all surnamed Pareja, died instantly from gunshot wounds.

The victims were on a motorcycle toward Sitio Sabaduan in Barangay Kauran when the gunmen blocked their path and opened fire at them.

Police have yet to identify the suspects and the motive for the attack.
