LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – It will be a special non-working holiday in this province on Tuesday to commemorate the birth anniversary of the late Speaker Eugenio Perez.
In 1989, then President Corazon Aquino signed Republic Act 6721 declaring Nov. 13 a special public holiday in Pangasinan to mark the birth anniversary of Perez, who was the first speaker of the Philippine Republic.
