Water released from Angat Dam

HAGONOY, Bulacan, Philippines – Water from Angat Dam was released into the Angat River yesterday afternoon, as authorities brace for heavy rainfall that tropical depression “Helen” would bring.

The National Power Corp. (Napocor) which operates the dam, however, said the water released was only minimal and would hardly affect Calumpit and Hagonoy towns which remained flooded due to back-floods from the Pampanga River.
