5 dead, 7 injured in road mishaps

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines  – At least five people, including two children, were killed while seven others were injured in separate vehicular accidents in Cavite, Laguna, Rizal and Batangas on Tuesday, police said.

Four of the fatalities were identified as Marlo Pilago, 10; Donato Matalor, 77; Ma. Micah Moradillo, 9; and bystander Jose Red, 55. The fifth remained unnamed.

The injured – Joel Agojo, 38; Rolando Piol, 29; Jonard Salbarte, 27; Rogelio Castillo, 40; Aeron Fernando, 21; Roselyn Matienzo, 40; and Jeanette Nicolas, 20 – were brought to various provincial hospitals.
