Dagupan relaunches Pulis Mo, Ka-text Mo

DAGUPAN CITY – The police force here in coordination with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry will maximize the text messaging mania among students through their program “Pulis Mo, Ka text Mo” in time for the school opening on June 10 for better police response to their concerns.

Superintendent Dionicio Borromeo, city police chief, told The STAR that their policemen will go around schools in the city for the re-launch of the said program for massive information dissemination.

He said the police will also go school hopping for information dissemination about this project that aims to put to proper and productive use the text messaging craze among the youth.

This, as 90 “‘Mamang and Aleng Pulis” of this city will be deployed in all schools on June 10 for the school opening up to the whole week to ensure safety of school children.

Borromeo said this is part of their Oplan Balik Paaralan/Balik Eskwela 2008 wherein their police force, including their office personnel, will be deployed as early as 6 a.m. to schools as part of their police visibility drive to avert any untoward incidents.

He said the Dagupan City Police is ready to provide maximum police assistance, security, traffic management in coordination with the Department of Education, Public Order and Safety Office, local government units and other tasked government agencies as well as the barangay officials.
