GAZA CITY (AFP) - The radical Palestinian group Islamic Jihad on Sunday threatened to send dozens of women suicide bombers against Israel if it launched a ground incursion in the Gaza Strip.
"The Al-Quds Brigades has dozens of women suicide bombers ready to carry out suicide operations in the face of any ground incursion in the Gaza strip," the group said in a statement, referring to its armed wing.
Israel has pounded militant targets, mostly from the Islamist Hamas group, for five days in air strikes in Gaza in response to continuing rocket fire on its territory from gunmen in the lawless territory.
