Caloy toll in Surigao: 23 dead, 4 missing

BUTUAN CITY Tropical depression "Caloy" left 23 people dead and four others missing and more than P90 million in damage to infrastructure, agriculture, fisheries and livestock in the two Surigao provinces, civil defense officials said.
Worst-hit was Surigao del Sur where 22 villagers, mostly minors, who either drowned or were buried alive in a landslide in Barangay Libus Sud in San Miguel town.
At least 8,304 families or 32,680 people in 57 barangays in Surigao del Sur lost their homes. Ben Serrano
