MANILA, Philippines —  Alex Eala is set for a homecoming to meet Filipino fans before transitioning to the hardcourt season in the United States later this month.

From a magical Wimbledon run, Eala will be in the country on July 15 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City for “Home Court: The Alex Eala Fan Meet Experience” hosted by Globe, where she serves as a Gen G Ambassador.

The event will be open to public although details on access are still to be provided.

Eala, who is expected to arrive as early as this weekend, will share stories from her Wimbledon journey and her preparations for the next Grand Slam, which is the US Open on Aug. 30 to Sept. 13 in New York.

“We celebrate the homecoming of the Filipina tennis star following her inspiring Wimbledon campaign—a journey that showcased not only her world-class talent, but also the resilience, grit, and courage that continue to inspire millions of Filipinos, especially the youth,” the event organizers said.

“Alex embodies what it means to pursue greatness with purpose. Through her discipline, humility, and determination to break barriers, she represents the values of a generation that’s ready to dream bigger, work harder, and create a positive impact. Be part of this special evening.”

Back in Wimbledon, the race for the Slam crown vacated by Iga Swiatek – who lost to Eala in Round of 32 – features a cast of first-time semifinalists led by No. 7 seed and 2025 French Open champion Coco Gauff of the United States. Gauff will face the grizzled Czech ace Karolina Muchova (No. 10) while the other pairing pits No. 9 Linda Noskova of Czechia and No. 12 Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine.

Kostyuk eliminated Eala’s tormentor Jasmine Paolini, 6-3, 6-2, in the quarterfinals.

In the men’s semis, 24-time Slam king Novak Djokovic of Serbia tries to defy the odds once more against world No. 1 Janik Sinner of Italy while No. 2 seed Alexander Zverev of Germany takes on wildcard Arthur Fery of Great Britain.
