P6.4-B shabu broker ordered moved to Crame
MANILA, Philippines — Citing security reasons, Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 46 Judge Rainelda Estacio-Montesa yesterday ordered the immediate transfer of Customs broker Mark Taguba to the Philippine National Police Custodial Center at Camp Crame.
Estacio-Montesa has also reset the arraignment of Taguba and Eirene Mae Tatad, who are among those charged over the P6.4 billion worth of shabu discovered in a warehouse in Valenzuela City last year, to April 6 due to their pending motions to dismiss the charges against them.
Prior to the transfer order, Taguba, through his lawyer Raymond Fortun, filed an appeal for the court to allow him to be detained at the National Bureau of Investigation.
