2 hurt in LPG explosion in Quezon City mall

MANILA, Philippines — Two people were injured in an explosion caused by a liquefied petroleum gas leak at a mall in Quezon City yesterday morning.
The explosion originated in the Teddy Man restaurant’s kitchen at the Z Square Mall on Del Monte Avenue at around 9 a.m.
The restaurant’s chef, Cheung Kowk Wai, 39, suffered second-degree burns on his extremities while Glen May Pike, 25, suffered minor injuries, police said. They were rushed to different hospitals.
Fire officials estimated the damages at around P1 million.
