At least 36 hurt in multiple vehicle collision on EDSA-Mckinley

MANILA, Philippines — At least 36 persons were rushed to different hospitals following a multiple vehicle collision at the corner of EDSA (northbound) and Mckinley Road in Makati City on Monday morning.
Involved in the accident were a Pascual Liner bus (TXH-325), a Genesis Transport bus (TXJ-105), an HM Transport bus (UYC-218), a Jacq Daniel taxi (UVG-218), a closed van (NIV-265) and a motorcycle (1202-UV).
According to the Traffic Division of the Makati City Police, at about 10:28 a.m., the Pascual Liner bus lost control and hit the taxicab and triggered the multiple vehicle collision at the northbound lane of EDSA at the corner of McKinley Road.
Those injured which included Paolo Calbaryo, the driver of the Pascual Liner bus, were rushed to Ospital ng Makati (Osmak), Makati Medical Center (MMC), Rizal Medical Center (RMC) and the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital (TPDH). Calbaryo, police said, was pinned down inside his bus.
According to the Makati Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), 15 of those injured were rushed to the Osmak, seven to the RMC, five to the MMC, and seven to the TPDH.
