Videos of man harassing student go viral

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Mobile phone videos of a man who verbally abused a fellow passenger while in transit have gone viral.

Three videos, posted on Facebook by Soy Gonzales, showed a man – later identified as Mike Musni Arellano – shouting at a girl seated behind him in a passenger van.

According to Gonzales, the argument started when Arellano told the student, identified as Joana Balen, to move from her seat beside the door.

Balen refused, saying she was getting out at the next stop.

Arellano cursed at Balen, telling her he would punch her if she did not shut up.

When Arellano got out, he continued shouting at Balen, saying, “You don’t know what I am going through. Would you even like me to tell it to you?”

After making a scene, Arellano apparently punched the girl in the shoulder. The act was not caught on camera.

The third video showed the student crying as Gonzales consoled her, saying that she’d make sure that the incident will be uploaded on social media.

Arellano later on posted the videos on his Facebook page, bragging about the incident.

“Watch this. I’m famous. I punched a female passenger,” he said in Filipino, drawing flak from netizens.
