MANILA, Philippines - A couple, both suspected drug pushers, were shot dead in their home in Parola Compound, Manila on Tuesday afternoon.
Police officers found the bodies of Analyn Avecilla, 20, and Ricky Velasco, 23, with several gunshot wounds at past 6 p.m., Police Officer 3 Alonzo Layugan said.
Avecilla’s mother, Adelaida, said several persons were looking for the victims hours before they were killed. She admitted that the two were drug dependents and Velasco was peddling shabu.
Layugan said investigators are looking into the possibility that Velasco failed to remit money to his supplier. – Rey Galupo, Ghio Ong
