Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Police arrested yesterday a couple and two other suspects who broke into a house in Teacher’s Village, Quezon City early this week.

Reynate Mirasol, 36, and his partner Teresita Batiquin, 38, were nabbed in a follow-up operation along with Anaclita Zubiaga, 38, and Randy Lukban, 44.

Mirasol is the alleged leader of a robbery group operating in Quezon City and nearby areas, Chief Inspector Jeffrey Bilaro, spokesman for the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), said.

Recovered from the suspects were a Toyota Avanza with license plates YEC-537, two motorcycles, a Glock 9mm pistol, an Armscor .45-caliber pistol, two .38-caliber revolvers and ammunition.

Bilaro said some of the valuables taken by the suspects were recovered.

The suspects are being held at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the QCPD. They will be charged with robbery and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition before the city prosecutor’s office.
