Korean couple robbed in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – A Korean couple lost $1,100 (about P51,000) to pickpockets in Manila over the weekend.

Police said Hyejin Jong and Jin Yum Kim, both 24, had just arrived in the country when the former discovered that her wallet was missing at around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The couple ate at a mall on Padre Faura street and walked back to their hotel along Maria Orosa street.

When they returned to the hotel, Jong’s wallet was gone.
