Malabon launches ‘food trip’

MANILA, Philippines - Malabon officials launched a tour of six of the city’s most popular restaurants Saturday in a bid to promote the city as a viable tourist and food destination.

Mayor Antolin Oreta III and his wife, chef Melissa Sison-Oreta, led a tricycle tour of the restaurants.

“Aside from our historical heritage houses of well-known political personalities and artists, we are also trying to tell everyone that Malabon is a good place to visit if you are looking for good food,” Oreta told The STAR.

Melissa said they want to position the city as a place where good food can be found at very reasonable prices.
