QCPD anti-drug unit cited as Phl’s best

MANILA, Philippines - The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) anti-drug unit has been judged the best-performing police anti-narcotics office nationwide.

The award was given during the recent 11th anniversary celebration of the Philippine National Police’s Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force.

The Quezon City unit received the award after several high-impact drug stings in the city and outside Metro Manila.

Senior Inspector Roberto Razon heads the QCPD’s District Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations unit.

On Aug. 25, Razon’s team seized 15 kilos of shabu, worth P75 million, from three suspects during a sting along West Avenue.

The unit also confiscated 10 kilos of shabu from a Chinese man during an Aug. 7 sting in the city. The operation followed a bust in Tarlac, during which 500 grams of shabu was seized.
