MANILA, Philippines - A crowd favorite was crowned Miss Manila 2014 at the Philippine International Convention Center Tuesday night as part of the celebration of the city’s 443rd founding anniversary.

Krischelle Halili was crowned Miss Manila 2014.

Mayor Joseph Estrada, his wife Loi and former Miss Universe Gloria Diaz presented the cash prize of P500,000.

Halili, who was the crowd favorite, impressed Estrada and the other judges during the question and answer portion.

Princess Angela Abella was first runner up. She received P350,000.

Completing the top five were Angelia Gabrena Ong, Ayesha Clauden Chua and Julian Auriane Flores.

The event was organized by the MARE Foundation chaired by Loi, with Viva Films, Channel 5 and The Philippine Star as partners.
