PHLPost to issue stamps for INC’s 100th anniversary

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Postal Corp. (PHLPost) will issue, for the first time, a 50-millimeter by 35-mm stamp to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC).

In a statement, the PHLPost said that this would be the first time that they would be coming out with a stamp larger than their average ones, which measure 40 mm by 30 mm.

The commemorative postage stamp features INC founder Felix Manalo – who started the group in 1914 – and the logo of the INC centennial anniversary, while its background is the sprawling central temple in Quezon City.

The PHLPost printed 1.2 million copies of the INC stamp, which was designed by Br. Bienvenido Santiago Jr. The agency said it will be available to the public starting on May 10 and sold until May 9 next year or until supplies last.

Postmaster General Josefina dela Cruz will present the commemorative stamps to executive minister Eduardo Manalo at the INC central temple in Quezon City on May 10.
