Woman, 92, nabbed for abortion

MANILA, Philippines - A 92-year-old woman was arrested in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City for allegedly performing abortion.

Catalina Jose was reportedly caught by police officers as she was performing an abortion on a 22-year-old woman in her house in Barangay 176. The police officers had gone to Jose’s house to serve an arrest warrant for a similar case filed against her.

The 22-year-old woman was taken to a nearby hospital to save her and the fetus she was about to abort.
