Tanod stabbed 21 times in Marikina

MANILA, Philippines - A barangay watchman was stabbed 21 times by one of three men he accosted for riding a motorcycle without helmets in Marikina City Monday night.

Barangay Concepcion Uno tanod Riane Yadao is fighting for his life at the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center.

The suspects – Moises Villanueva, 20; Florencio Alegonza, 24; and Jeorge Asuzena, 23 – were arrested in a follow-up operation.

Police said the two of the three men held the victim while the third stabbed him with a fan knife. Bystanders rushed Yadao to the hospital.
