MANILA, Philippines - Inmates at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City launched Friday their Christmas music videos with the male singing group Angelos on Youtube.
Three songs are sung by the inmates with the Angelos and another three are sung by the Bilibid Prison College Guild alone. The songs range from traditional English and Filipino Christmas songs to the upbeat “It’s Christmas Eve,” written by Angelo member Louie Abaigar, and the inmates’ Christmas version of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”
The dance sequences were choreographed by inmate Egan Torrecampo, who also helped choreograph the Cebu City Jail inmates’ “Thriller” video some years back.
The Bilibid Prison College Guild is composed of prisoners taking up college degrees while serving their sentence, while the Angelos is composed of Abaigar, George Sison Tagle, Miguel Aguila and Paolo Libiran.
