Fire hits Parañaque toy warehouse

- Aie Balagtas See -

MANILA, Philippines - A toy warehouse in Barangay Don Bosco, Parañaque City was gutted by a six-hour fire that started Saturday night.

Roughly P1 million worth of property went up in smoke when the fire broke out at the warehouse owned by a certain Ely Co on Francis street in Better Living at around 7:15 p.m.

It reached fourth alarm at around 9:15 p.m., which means that all available fire trucks in the south Manila responded to the fire. Volunteer firefighters from eastern Metro Manila cities like Marikina and Pasig lent a hand until the fire was put out at around 1:15 a.m. yesterday.

The origin of the fire is still under investigation, according to Inspector Wilson Tana, chief investigator of Paranaque Fire Department. No one was injured in the fire.
