1 dead, 3 hurt in Quezon City shooting

MANILA, Philippines - A cigarette vendor and two boys fetching water were hit by stray bullets when two armed men shot at a man near them in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City Friday night.

The target of the two gunmen, Ronnie Reclavon, a 22-year-old cook, was declared dead on arrival at the FEU Hospital.

Leonard Bautista, 12, and Maynard Bautista, 11, both students of Commonwealth Elementary School, as well as vendor Carmelita Lagitao, 60, were hit by stray bullets and rushed to nearby hospitals.

The two men who shot Reclavon remain unidentified, and police have yet to determine the motive behind the attack. – Reinir Padua
