Canadian commits suicide

Police said yesterday a 55-year-old Canadian national, an owner of a travel agency, committed suicide inside his condominium unit in Makati City.

Kenneth Wane Christensen, who occupies and holds office at Unit 3-A of Legaspi Towers 100, was found hanging inside the bathroom by his secretary at 2:30 p.m. last Monday.

He was the owner and president of Precise Immigration Services Inc., a company that assists in the processing visa applications.

His lifeless body was found hanging with a plastic rope around his neck inside his condominium unit’s bathroom around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Remedios Reyes, the secretary, and maintenance man Antonio Verchez entered the unit to check on a foul smell coming from inside.

Initially, they thought it was from a dead rat, but they were shocked to find Christensen inside the bathroom with a plastic rope around his neck.

Police said they found no indication of foul play.

Southern Police District (SPD) medico-legal officer Dr. Voltaire Nulod confirmed that the Canadian had committed suicide. Michael Punongbayan
