At the same time, Belmonte directed the eight-man committee to submit a list of projects up for implementation in the second quarter of 2002 "so that no scheduled project is left undone."
"This is to make sure that all infrastructure projects scheduled to be implemented by the city government are completed before 2003," the mayor said in a statement.
City Engineer Joselito Cabungcal has said 160 of the 320 proposed projects submitted to them have been evacuated and were being processed. The bidding of the projects has been set on May 14.
Cabungcal stressed that these infrastructure projected have been categorized into roads, schools, low-cost housing, hospitals, drainage systems, public markets and cemeteries.
The committee, created through an executive order, is part of efforts of the local government to make Quezon City a quality community in terms of better delivery of basic services to residents. Matthew Estabillo
