CEBU, Philippines - A taxi driver lost P3,650 in earnings to a passenger who robbed him yesterday dawn while in barangay Bakilid, Cebu City.
Alberto Mondido, 35, of barangay Parian, Cebu City, told the Investigative and Detective Management Bureau (IDMB) the man boarded his taxi at A.S. Fortuna Street in barangay Banilad, Mandaue City and asked to be taken to barangay Bakilid.
On the way, the man pulled out a .45 cal. pistol and declared a holdup, Mondido said.
After handing over his earnings, the man struck his face with the gun and then got off the vehicle.
Mondido said he saw the robber getting a ride on a motorcycle presumably driven by an accomplice. (FREEMAN)
