5 men arrested in buy-bust operation

CEBU, Philippines - Five persons were arrested during a buy-bust operation at sitio Superior in barangay Looc, Mandaue City Tuesday afternoon. 

Police identified the five suspects as brothers Joecar Peson, 35, Joerel Peson, 21, Januarios Manatad, 35, Manuel Gestopa, 41, and Ian Gestopa, 21.

The men were arrested after Peson received marked money from a police decoy.

Police found out Peson’s house was also being used as a drug den. Two other men were also arrested after getting caught in the act of sniffing shabu.

All suspects are now detained at the Basak police station.The raiding team was led by police station chief PSr/Insp. Wilson Abot. — (FREEMAN)
