CEBU, Philippines - Task Force Kalikasan of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office yesterday filed a case against a fish trader after more than 200 kilos of blasted fish were seized from him in barangay Punta Engaño last Sunday afternoon.
Earlier,Task Force Kalikasan head SPO1 Jomar Ybañez and the representatives from the city kept reminding all fish vendors and fish traders in Lapu-Lapu City to stop the sale of blasted fish.
Nilo Talingting, 38, a resident of barangay Punta Engaño was arrested in possession of blasted fish totalling to 245 kilos.
Seized from him were 200 kilos of yellow fin tuna, 20 kilos of “danguit,” and 25 kilos of “Pagispis.”
Ybañez also said the police will also run after the person in Caubian island from whom Talingting bought the blasted fish. (FREEMAN)
