Beauty Neon Gives Back With #RustansBeautyAddict

MANILA, Philippines - Rustan’s The Beauty Source held the third season of its annual cosmetic fair celebration at Rustan’s Ayala Center Makati. Aptly named “Beauty Addict: Neon”, the retro-themed party took its neon inspiration from ‘80s upcoming movie, Jem and The Holograms, with audacious colors and bright lights emitting a throwback of energy.

HSBC Red & Premier Cards in collaboration with beauty brands inside Rustan’s — from Chanel, Clarins, La Prairie, Sisley, NARS, Diptyque, Annick Goutal, Estee Lauder, Clinique, and La Mer to Benefit, Bobbi Brown, Guerlain, Hermes, Murad, Perricone, Lancome, M.A.C, L’Occitane, and Acca Kappa — brought women together in a celebration of fun and beauty.

Chanel devotees received complimentary lip styling and a dainty sugar cookie of their choice, while lovers of the French brand Sisley got to try their hand at using Phyto Eye Twist eye shadows. Skincare enthusiasts enjoyed with a memory game from Dermalogica and were able to take home personalized note cards with inspiring quotes from Dr. Murad’s book, “Creating a Healthy Life.” Women got to journey through the Swiss Alps with La Prairie’s game of a steady hand, where they choose photos of their favorite La Prairie products from the Swiss Alps table using tongs without touching a buzzer to get a prize. Clarins created a beauty playlist with four stations to play on contour, pause early wrinkles, stop anti-aging and fast forward to slimming, and after collecting cards, they complete a song line and win one sample per station.

Perricone gave ladies the game of chance with a dice game, while Areum tested their literature skills by having them create a haiku about skincare. Much loved brands Palmers, Deborah Lippmann, OPI, Phyto, Dessange, and John Allan’s came together to treat it’s patrons to a fun game of Spinning Beauty Wheel, where they get freebies by betting on what color the wheel will land on.

Guests over at L’Occitane get to chill and enjoy healthy concoctions by the organic juice bar. A free Lip Pop application was in session over at the Clinique booth, while MAC was right on theme as they whip up quick neon infused makeover and glam shot photobooth sessions with the beauty addicts.

Beauty Addict Neon also re-launches the first beauty card in the Philippines, “Beauty Addict.”  Guests got to take home their own membership card -- now with more perks and privileges than ever before. For every P200 purchase, member earns a new point and may exchange it later to premium rewards by accessing Rustan’s The Beauty Source website. Membership is complimentary to any customer who has a minimum single receipt purchase of P2,500 at Cosmetics, Perfumery and Toiletries Division.

As per tradition, Rustan’s Beauty Addict won’t be complete without giving back. This year’s beneficiary is Philippine Red Cross to help with the recent calamities in the country by donating P300 to each photograph taken by guests and uploaded at the event using the hashtag #RustansBeautyAddictGivesBack.
